Hey there Heavensent
Won’t you take me by the hand?
Bring mercy to the damned?
Make things new?

Hey there Heavensent
Is there time to set aside?
Get our still life right?
Love me tender, love me true?

Compromise to calm it down
Initiate a solemn vow
Tilt my head to seem sincere
Ask permission to disappear

I’ve let it be another bottle episode
It’s more than I can control

Hey there Heavensent
I’ll be there every step
Appreciate the help
Embrace the dizzy spell

Remind me, I’ll forget
Everything is everything
And what’s it all for?
To drift apart in a tennis court

Tell me wicked lovin’ lies
There’s nothing left to sacrifice
In knowing that it’s not enough
I’m left alone and holding doves

Everytime I’m told take a breath, watch the surface from the depths
Everytime I’m holding out hope for the California myth

I’ve let it be another bottle episode
It’s more than I can control

Disco Volante is a band from Portland, OR, formed in 2014 by Portland State University students Joel Buckle, Thomas Guerena, and Jordan Dardis. In 2016, they released a self-titled EP which paid homage to their post-punk idols of the 80’s and early aughts. In search of a broader musical sound, the band spent years listening, writing, studying, hoarding, and generally growing more reclusive by the day. The monarch to the pupa is a sound recognizably “disco,” yet infused with elements of 60’s pop, funk, R&B, bossa nova, jazz, et al..

A host of talented friends have contributed to the group over the years, none more than the ever-beloved and striking Jayme Rogers.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

Disco Volante is now recording their untitled debut album in their studio and label-for-friends,  Holy Light Records.
